Gazoo Racing’s sports division has used its participation in series such as the Super Taikyu and the Japanese Rally Championship to identify areas for improvement in the GR Yaris. The result is a factory package that addresses specific aerodynamic and cooling issues detected in competition.

Thanks to these solutions, the Aero Performance Package not only changes the aesthetics of the car, but also gives it greater aerodynamic balance, improved engine cooling, and greater safety in high-speed conditions.

Most interestingly, all of this is achieved without needing to modify the powerful 1.6-liter three-cylinder turbo engine that characterizes the model.

The six keys to the Aero Performance Package

The package is made up of six parts designed to work together.Each plays a specific role in optimizing airflow and reducing drag.

Each component has been fine-tuned through multiple track tests, validating its impact on handling. The result is a GR Yaris that not only looks more aggressive, but also responds more precisely in extreme conditions.

Unbroken power, distinct experience

While the package focuses on design and aerodynamics, the heart of the GR Yaris remains unchanged. Toyota retains the acclaimed 1.6-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine, capable of generating 300 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque.

This engine is combined with a manual gearbox for purists or an automatic for those seeking comfort, always in conjunction with the GR-FOUR all-wheel drive system. The essence of this model, considered one of the most exciting sports hatchbacks on the market, remains intact.

Available versions and positioning

The Aero Performance Package will be available in two configurations of the GR Yaris: the RZ High Performance, designed for those looking for the maximum equipment, and the RC, which offers an option more focused on lightness and track use.

Although Toyota has not yet officially revealed prices for international markets, in Japan it is already being prepared for its arrival at dealerships from October 1.
