There is a plan to add 23 more subjects in the Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme. Actually, these will be the subjects from which students will be able to take loan for studying related courses. Till now, loans are taken under this scheme for the study of about 42 types of courses. The Education Department has prepared a proposal for this. The government is going to approve this proposal very soon.

According to official sources, after the addition of 23 more subjects for the loan, there will be hardly any course related to higher education, which does not come under its purview. In fact, through this scheme, the education department is not only going to encourage the new generation to take up professional courses, but it will also help in increasing the gross enrollment ratio of the state.

According to official information, in the Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme, a target has been set to give loans to a total of one lakh students in the financial year 2022-23. Out of this, more than 15 thousand applicants have applied so far. The loan approval process has been started. According to experts associated with the Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme, it is also proposed to form a separate State Project Management Unit to operate this scheme.

Last week, a meeting was held with district level officials related to this scheme. In this, the obstacles being faced by them in implementing the scheme were known. Now an action plan is being prepared for their solution. In this context, a meeting with the district officials is to be organized soon. The Education Department is also going to simplify the process of implementing this scheme. It will be announced soon.
