Tragic End to Love: Youth Commits Suicide After Phone Call with Girlfriend
A tragic incident unfolds as a young man takes his own life after a phone call with his girlfriend, prompting his father to file a police complaint. Investigations are underway following the heartbreaking turn of events.
In a heartbreaking turn of events, a young man, Shivam Bhatnagar, aged 25, allegedly took his own life following a breakup with his girlfriend. The incident unfolded after a lengthy phone conversation between Shivam and his girlfriend, which lasted for about two and a half hours. Subsequently, Shivam's father filed a complaint with the police, leading to a case being registered against the girl involved.
According to the police report on Wednesday, Shivam, before taking the drastic step, sent a suicide note to his friend Akash, meant for his father, Sanjay Bhatnagar, a priest residing in Jacobpura. The note, received around 6:45 pm on Tuesday, expressed Shivam's intention to end his life, with poignant words addressed to his father, pleading for forgiveness.
Upon receiving the distressing message, Akash promptly contacted Sanjay Bhatnagar, who rushed to Shivam's room along with others. Tragically, they found Shivam hanging from the ceiling fan, having used a bedsheet for the act. Despite efforts to save him, Shivam was pronounced dead by doctors at the hospital.
In the wake of the incident, Sanjay Bhatnagar lodged a police complaint implicating Shivam's girlfriend and her male friend, mentioned in the suicide note. Sanjay alleged that Shivam's fatal decision came after the prolonged phone conversation with his girlfriend from 2:30 pm to 5 pm.
Following the complaint, authorities registered an FIR against the woman and her friend under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, including abetment of suicide and common intention. After post-mortem, Shivam's body was handed over to his family, while investigations into the tragic incident continue.
