Arrested in Florida for trying to kill a man who was with his baby
The suspect identified as Taisani Da Shoniel Graham, 26, allegedly shot a man who was holding his baby in the back.
A violent incident occurred on the afternoon of Thursday, August 28, in Lauderhill, Florida, when a gunman shot another man in the parking lot of a residential building located at 7041 Environ Boulevard.
Local police reported that the attack occurred around 4:00 pm, when the victim, who was with her toddler in a baby seat, met the suspect, identified as 26-year-old Taisani Da Shoniel Graham, in an elevator.
Time of the shooting
According to the preliminary investigation, both men descended together to the garage level. There, Graham took a gun from a bag and shot the victim in the back.
Despite carrying the child, the wounded man managed to run to a nearby vehicle before collapsing. Graham followed him, but the victim managed to respond with his own weapon, forcing the attacker to retreat.
The situation became even more tense when the boy's mother arrived on the scene and saw the suspect pointing the gun at her, prompting her to take cover behind a car.
Arrest and Charges
The minor was unharmed during the attack, while his father was airlifted to Broward Health Medical Center, where he remains in stable condition.
Shortly after, Graham was arrested in the same area by Lauderhill Police. Investigators confirmed that the victim and the attacker knew each other, although no details regarding a motive for the attack have been released.
Graham faces charges of attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault with intent to commit a felony, and child abuse without great bodily harm. A judge set bail at $50,000, and he currently remains in custody at the Broward County Jail.
