A suspected drunk driver survived a 600-foot (183-meter) fall off a cliff on a highway in rural Northern California, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
According to the CHP, the accident occurred in early July when the driver of a pickup truck was traveling on Highway 263 in Siskiyou County and the vehicle left the road and fell down a steep cliff.
“Remarkably, the driver survived what could have easily been a fatal accident,” the CHP said in a statement.
