A Hispanic man was arrested and charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing a police officer multiple times Friday afternoon in Long Beach.
Arturo Fernandez, 44, a resident of Torrance, was taken into custody at the Long Beach City Jail is being held on suspicion of attempted murder, with bail set at $1 million. The Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) said that at approximately 2:42 pm on April 17, officers responded to a disturbance call involving a possibly armed individual in the 200 block of West Broadway.
