Angela Aguilar would like to play Flor Silvestre in a biopic
The singer believes she could be a good actress because she says she is “very dramatic” and is interested in playing real characters
Angela Aguilar is interested in acting. Recently, Pepe Aguilar's daughter expressed her desire to enter the world of acting. But not just any role, but one she knows very well: Flor Silvestre.
In an interview with Billboard, the singer said she would like to play her grandmother Flor Silvestre in a biopic about the iconic actress and singer’s legacy.
“I would really like to be like my grandmother, but in a live-action movie, like a biopic or something. That would be great,” said Aguilar, who joked that some of her husband, Christian Nodal’s, traits could complicate the portrayal of her grandfather Antonio Aguilar.
“My husband has so many tattoos to be my grandfather, that it wouldn’t work,” she added.
Pepe Aguilar’s ??daughter believes she could be a good actress because she assures she is “very dramatic.” "I'm very dramatic, I would love to. I think it would be a great expression of my drama," she said.
Although she is interested in playing real characters in biographical films, she would also like to play the role of a villain.
In a conversation with Pati Chapoy, Ángela said that, in addition to being a singer, she considered herself an actress.
"I sing about heartbreak, even when I'm in love," said Pepe Aguilar's daughter. Chapoy immediately asked her: "And are you suddenly angry when you sing about heartbreak?"
When asked by the Mexican presenter, Ángela answered yes and explained that her videos and performances require acting.
"I feel like I'm a kind of actress and that each song is a role. When I was 9 years old, I had never had a boyfriend and I sang 'La Chancla,' it's like you have to put yourself in that 'Red Sky, sad, The Wrong One, happy' mode," she explained.
"There are certain things that you can identify through your experiences or those of other people and you say, 'This song has this energy,'" she added.
The statements made by Pepe Aguilar's daughter did not sit well with her detractors on social media, who were quick to question whether she considered herself an actress.
