Aylin Mujica reveals on air that she suffers from a strange heart disease
Aylin Mujica opened up on 'Hoy Dia' about the strange syndrome she suffers from and that has led her to close herself off in love
Cuban actress Aylin Mujica, 50, surprised everyone with the confession she made on Wednesday on 'Hoy Dia', where she was a guest presenter.
The former participant of 'La Casa de los Famosos' shared on the morning show that suffers from a strange and very peculiar heart disease.
According to her testimony, Aylin detailed that she suffers from Takotsubo cardiomyopathy, colloquially known as frozen heart syndrome.
The Caribbean woman's revelation came after psychologist Jennifer Flores brought up this syndrome, which occurs after a breakup that was accompanied by a traumatic event.
“What does this person want to avoid? They want to avoid suffering again. And how does it present itself? I don't allow myself the possibility of loving again because my heart is in a state where I don't get involved, I don't allow myself, I don't want to feel, I refuse to feel again, I refuse to let my heart beat for someone again,” the expert narrated about this condition.
The psychologist's testimony touched the heart of Aylin Mujica, who took the opportunity to acknowledge that she suffers from this syndrome, which has caused all of her romantic relationships do not come to fruition.
“I don't want to suffer again, I don't want to feel that pain because it's a pain that is felt in the middle of the chest, so in a way I said: 'Of course, that is what happens to me, I want to avoid it and that's why I put my heart in a freezer," shared the beautiful Cuban.
Despite how much she, and other patients suffer with this syndrome, the psychologist admitted that it can be cured.
“When one is able to convert that suffering into understanding, you really beat again, you fall in love again because falling in love and feeling is a decision. Just as you decide to block yourself and freeze, I can also decide on the other hand to open myself up to love again.
Here the only thing that is happening, while you are frozen, is your life and the possibility of reliving that love from another position. You are not the same one who suffered that heartbreak, You are not the same, so what happened to you will not happen again,” concluded the specialist, who encouraged Aylin to believe in love again.
