Eugenio Derbez responds to rumors of reconciliation between Aislinn and Mauricio Ochmann
The actor and producer used his characteristic sense of humor to put an end to speculation about his daughter and his ex-son-in-law's relationship.
Eugenio Derbez decided to address the rumors about a possible reconciliation between his daughter Aislinn Derbez and Mauricio Ochmann, and he has done it as he knows best: with humor. Through a video published on his social networks, the comedian said he was tired of the constant questions on the subject.
"Hey, you've been asking me and asking me what I think about the situation between my daughter Aislinn and Mauricio Ochmann. I already said that it's something that doesn't belong to me, but they keep asking me and asking. So, well, I'm going to give you my opinion," said the actor before showing images of the trailer for "Hasta el fin del mundo", a film in which they both share credits.
Immediately afterwards, Derbez showed romantic scenes from the film to finish with a fun explanation: "There it is. It's clearer than water. Of course they are together. I already checked and it's not IA or AI. It's not. It's not. Yes, they're together. You can see that they're seeing each other, they're talking... Even things, right? You can see, of course. Then the filming ended and everyone went home."
The comedian made it clear that the only certainty is that they both shared the screen during filming, without confirming any reconciliation.
The origin of the rumors
Speculation about a possible return of the couple arose after the premiere of “Hasta el fin del mundo”, a production that represents the professional reunion of Aislinn and Mauricio after their separation. The film was planned several years ago, when they were still a couple, but various delays prevented its release until now, which some followers interpreted as a sign of reconciliation.
It should be remembered that Aislinn Derbez and Mauricio Ochmann began their relationship in 2014, they married in 2016 and in 2018 their daughter Kailani was born. In March 2020 they announced the end of their relationship, although since then they have maintained a close friendship and cordial relationship for the well-being of their daughter.
So far, neither of them has confirmed a possible romantic return.
