Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua: Netflix confirms fight between both
Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul will face off at the Kaseya Center in Miami on December 19
Jake Paul will face Anthony Joshua in a fight that will be streamed on Netflix and will take place on December 19.
It will be an officially sanctioned professional heavyweight bout, consisting of eight three-minute rounds with 10-ounce gloves. The fight will take place on Friday, December 19th at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida.
This will be Paul's second live event on Netflix in just over a year, following his record-breaking victory over Mike Tyson in November 2014.
“When I defeat Anthony Joshua, all doubt will disappear and no one will be able to deny me the opportunity to fight for a world title. To all my detractors: this is what you wanted. To the people of the United Kingdom, I'm sorry. On Friday, December 19th, under the lights of Miami, live for the whole world only on Netflix, the baton will be passed and the British Goliath will be defeated.
Paul was scheduled to fight Gervonta Davis, but after the boxer was sued, they decided to cancel the fight.
Anthony Joshua wants to make a big comeback and then face Tyson Fury
Eddie Hearn, Anthony Joshua's promoter, stated last week that he was looking to prepare the British boxer to face Tyson Fury.
“Our main goal is 2026, with a big fight in February or March, and then Tyson Fury,” Hearn stated. “We want a high-level fight, but we also want to make money.”
Joshua stated that it is a great opportunity and that many more boxers will start taking these opportunities in fights against the YouTuber.
“It’s a great opportunity for me. Whether you like it or not, I’m here to dominate, have great fights and break all the records, while staying calm and composed. Mark my words: you’ll see many more fighters take advantage of these opportunities in the future. I’m about to revolutionize the internet with Jake Paul’s face,” Joshua said.
Tickets for the fight at the Kaseya Center will go on sale on November 21st, coinciding with the first press conference with both boxers.
