The Attorney General's Office of the Republic of Mexico (FGR) requested a new arrest warrant against Mexican businessman Raúl Rocha Cantú, co-owner and majority shareholder of the international Miss Universe franchise.
The legal measure responds to a line of investigation focused on its alleged connection with a financial scheme dedicated to carrying out operations with resources of illicit origin.
According to reports from local media such as the newspaper Reforma, this new appeal promoted by the Federal Public Ministry constitutes a criminal case independent of the file that the federal authorities opened to investigate the activities of the Monterrey magnate since 2025.
The judicial action seeks to hold the businessman accountable for his alleged participation in the mobilization of capital of irregular origin through various corporate structures.
Rocha Cantú gained relevance in the media and internationally after acquiring a majority shareholding in the organization of the most influential beauty pageant in the world. However, the progress of the investigations conducted by the agencies in charge of justice in Mexico has kept its profile under close legal scrutiny.
Operations with resources of illicit origin are part of the priority crimes combated by the FGR. In the event that the federal control judge assigned to the case grants the requested arrest warrant, the security forces will be authorized to proceed with his location and detention, in order to make him available to the judicial body that requires it and determine his legal situation.
So far, the legal representation of Raúl Rocha Cantú has not issued comments or statements regarding the request processed by the federal prosecutor's office. Likewise, the spokespersons for the Miss Universe organization have remained reserved regarding the development of these legal actions that directly involve one of the main owners of the brand.
