Ximena Herrera became the fourth banished from “La Isla: Desafio Extremo” last night, the second of the Sharks to leave the competition. She almost won the final challenge, which would have resulted in Jason Romo's elimination; However, due to unforeseen circumstances, she failed to complete the challenge, making her the fourth to be banished. It's worth noting that Jason Romo's near elimination demonstrates the poor strategy employed by both the Eagles and the Sharks. Gary was the only Panther nominee to face this final challenge; however, he performed best, finishing first and returning to his teammates as if nothing had happened. Ximena was always the weakest link on her team; despite this, she always tried to fight, though the results were never what she hoped for. She showed tenacity, but the truth is that she isn't quite a participant with the physical attributes to put up a fight against rivals like Nievelis or Estefania from the Panthers. It is hoped that with Ximena's departure, the Sharks will improve their performance in the competition and that the Eagles will be much smarter when nominating their participants. Last night, Jason and Paulina shouldn't have been nominated, but rather Moi and Julieta, with the goal of eliminating the Ecuadorian from the competition. Unfortunately, Moi doesn't contribute enough points to his team to be considered a key element for the Eagles' victories.
