DGCA: There will be strictness on use of perfume for pilots and crew members, preparation for ban in the proposed draft

The Indian Civil Aviation Regulator (DGCA) has prepared a draft. In this proposed draft, pilots and crew members have been asked to avoid the use of perfume during the breath analyzer test.
The reason behind this draft of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is the high amount of alcohol usually present in perfumes. Breath analyzer test due to which may be affected.
As per the new draft of DGCA, no crew member shall consume any medicine or formulation, use any substance such as mouthwash/tooth gel/perfume or any product containing alcohol. Due to which the breath analyzer tests came back positive. Any crew member who is taking such medication must consult the company doctor before commencement of the flight.
The DGCA chief has responded to the entire draft. This is only a draft CAR (Civil Aviation Requirements), which has been placed in the public domain for comments from stakeholders, he said.
Regulator DGCA is very strict about breath analyzer test before any flight of airlines. Such tests are always conducted under the surveillance of cameras. DGCA in its new draft has proposed to ban the use of perfume by pilots and crew members.
