I request the BJP leaders of the center that the person who does not know the history of the state, how it works, should be sent to another place.
Koshyari's statement increased tension for Shinde and BJP in Maharashtra
At present, the government is running in Maharashtra with the support of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Eknath Shinde faction. Gaikwad is an MLA of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde-led 'Balasahebchi Shiv Sena'. What statement did Koshyari give regarding Shivaji
Significantly, while discussing about the 'ideal persons' of the state, Koshyari had said that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was an ideal person of 'old times'. After this, referring to Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, he said, if someone asks you who is your ideal, you do not need to go out to find him, you will find him right here in Maharashtra. You can find new ones from Babasaheb Ambedkar to Nitin Gadkari. His statement was criticized by the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and the Uddhav Thackeray-led faction of the Shiv Sena. The governor made the remarks after conferring D.Litt degrees on BJP leader Gadkari and NCP chief Sharad Pawar in Aurangabad.
