In the Ranchi violence case, on Tuesday, the police released the poster of the accused involved in the incident of stone pelting and vandalism in the main road. During this, the mobile numbers of police officers were also released in the poster to inform people about the accused. A poster was also put up at the square near the capital's Zakir Hussain Park, but the JMM immediately lodged an objection to this action of the police. Shortly after that the poster was removed from that place.
On Monday, the Governor had summoned the DGP
Let us inform that on June 13, Governor Ramesh Bais had directed the administrative officers including DGP Neeraj Sinha to summon the Raj Bhavan and arrest the miscreants. For this, he had directed to put up posters to identify the miscreants and the arrested people. After this, the police administration decided to put up posters of the accused at different intersections of the city. It was started from the intersection near Zakir Hussain Park. The applicant in the poster was Ranchi Police. It was said in this that if anyone has any information regarding these accused, then inform the Ranchi Police. The name and address of the person giving information will be kept confidential. To give information in the poster, the mobile numbers of City DSP, Kotwali DSP, Hatia DSP, Daily Market, Kotwali, Lower Bazar and Doranda police station in-charge were also released in the poster.
JMM raised objection
On Tuesday, the JMM lodged an immediate objection to the Ranchi Police putting up posters of the accused. In this regard, senior JMM leader Supriyo Bhattacharya said that this will erase the difference between UP-Jharkhand. After JMM's objection, he got down as soon as the poster was put up. Ranchi Police, giving its side in this matter, said that some modification has to be done in the poster, due to which it has been brought down. After that it will be installed again.
It is not right to defame anyone in public: JMM
Party's Central Working Committee member Supriyo Bhattacharya said that what will be the effect on the society by putting up the poster, first there should be a social assessment of it. The more you beat the wound, the more dirt will spread. If action is to be taken, then the police should take action by identifying the miscreants. send them to jail. It is not right to defame anyone in public.
