Former
Union Minister Kapil Sibal on Saturday took a jibe at the CBI. He said that the CBI used to be locked in a cage. Now there is a parrot without a cage. Now its fur is saffron and feathers are ED. It does what its owner says.
Actually, Kapil Sibal has said this through a tweet on social media regarding the raid on Sisodia's residence. Earlier on Friday, he had questioned the action taken on the leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party. He said, now that Kejriwal is rising, it is time to destabilize the
BJP. At the same time, he had told the CBI and the Enforcement Directorate in the hands of the government.
In his tweet, he also mentioned the action taken against Minister Satyendar Jain in the
Delhi government. ED had arrested Jain in the money laundering case. Significantly, the CBI investigation at Sisodia's residence lasted till late in the evening. The
AAP leader has told that the investigating agency has taken his computer and mobile phone.
Cage's parrot
In fact, the
Supreme Court judge had made the remark that the CBI was a 'parrot'. In 2013, the coal allocation case was being heard in the
Supreme Court. During that time Justice RM Lodha had spoken of 'cage parrot'. At the same time, he had questioned how long it would take to release the caged parrot. Recently, Sibal had also raised questions on the functioning of the apex court.
