In the skirmish between Indian and Chinese troops along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Arunachal Pradesh's Tawang sector, soldiers of both the countries were injured. According to sources, this clash was not the result of a day. For about sixty days, the soldiers of the Chinese Army i.e. 'PLA' were provoking the Indian Army. During the two months, the soldiers of both the countries came face to face on LAC several times. In the skirmish that took place on the night of December 9, Chinese troops were attempting to enter the part of the LAC where the Indian Army has been patrolling for decades. Chinese soldiers started pushing. After that tried to repel the Indian soldiers with the pointed rod. The queue behind the Chinese soldiers had sticks and stones in their hands. Indian soldiers were aware of the PLA's modus operandi, So he replied in a harsh manner. Shortly afterwards the PLA soldiers were driven out. The Indian troops forced the PLA to retreat to a point that is normally patrolled by both countries.

After the Galvan incident in the year 2020, soldiers of both the countries have come face to face many times. India has started road construction in many areas on the border of Ladakh and Arunachal Pradesh bordering China. Chinese soldiers objected to the construction of the road being done by India in the Galvan Valley. More than two hundred soldiers attempted to violate the LAC. Even then the PLA soldiers had iron rods and sticks in their hands. Even at that time many soldiers were injured. This is not the first case in Tawang sector.

Even before this, PLA soldiers have tried to increase the dispute on LAC many times. The Chinese soldiers in the Tawang sector had a variety of items in their hands. He had a three and a half feet long rod in his hand. This rod, when seen from a distance, looks like a pole. This rod is visible properly only when it is face to face. Towards the lower end of the rod, there are sharp nails up to a height of about two feet. All PLA soldiers carry such rods during patrolling. Dragon's '3 line' formula i.e. 'rod, stick and stone' was seen on a large scale in the Galvan Valley skirmish.

Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh told in the Lok Sabha regarding the clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh, the Indian Army has stopped the encroachment of China. The Chinese army was forced to retreat. No Indian soldier was martyred in this skirmish. None of our soldiers is seriously injured. After the skirmish, the local commander held a flag meeting with his Chinese counterpart on 11 December. The PLA troops have now gone back to their positions. Indian forces are fully committed to safeguard our territorial integrity. Diplomatic steps have also been taken on this issue with the Chinese side.

Defense expert Prafulla Bakshi said, the antics of the Chinese army cannot be trusted. In such a situation, the patrolling points should be made permanent control lines. India will have to improve its logistics in the border areas and at the same time India will have to change its stand in view of China's antics. Under the 1996 agreement, both countries cannot use weapons on the LAC. Even in the part of LAC up to two kilometers, the rifle's mouth is kept towards the ground. This is the reason why iron rods, poles and stones can be seen in the hands of Chinese soldiers. It was revealed in a media report that PLA soldiers are being trained by fighters living in the Tibetan Plateau. Those fighters teach Chinese soldiers to use pointed rods, martial arts and sticks.
