New Delhi. Another major success has been added in the direction of technology and self-reliance in India. Under the Make in India initiative, the country's most powerful freight train engine (locomotive) has been prepared. The special thing is that this engine can work as a double engine alone. It has been built under Western Railways and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to dedicate it to the country on Monday. Western Railway Chief Public Relations Officer Vineet Abhishek said that this is a locomotive with a capacity of 9000 horsepower which can easily carry 4500 to 5500 tonnes of goods. It will increase the speed of freight trains to 120-125 kilometers per hour. Till now, two engines were used for the speed, this one engine will be able to do that work alone saving both cost and time
