The Chiefs of the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 21. During this, PM will give information about the recruitment to be done under the Agneepath scheme. Actually, Agneepath Yonja was started last week, after which protests are taking place across the country. Meanwhile, the central government has also announced many changes and concessions in this scheme.

Army issued notification

Meanwhile, amidst the ongoing protests in many parts of the country, the Army on Monday issued a notification for the recruitment of soldiers under the Agneepath scheme. Online registration for this will start from next month. In a notification, the army said that online registration on the army's recruitment website is mandatory for all the job seekers under the new model which will start from July. The army said that Agniveer will be a separate rank in the Indian Army, which will be different from any other existing rank.

These candidates will get 20 marks bonus 

According to an army notification, there are certain categories of applicants in the common entrance test such as sons of soldiers (SOS), sons of ex-servicemen (SOEX), sons of soldiers who lost their lives in war (SOWW), sons of ex-servicemen's widows. (SOW) will be given 20 bonus marks. Similarly, National Cadet Corps (NCC) A and B certificate holders will also get some marks. The army said that no Agniveer is allowed to be discharged from service on request before fulfilling the conditions of service.

Know what is Agneepath Scheme

The Agneepath scheme was announced on June 14. Under this scheme, there is a rule to recruit youth between the age of 17 and a half years to 21 years only for four years, out of which there is a provision to retain 25 percent for 15 more years. Later, the government increased the upper age limit for recruitment to 23 years in 2022. The Army said the new recruits would be subject to the provisions of the Army Act, 1950 and these Agniveers would be liable to travel wherever ordered by land, sea or air.
