Marco Rubio exposes Donald Trump for calling him in the early morning because he can't sleep
Marco Rubio claims to have not seen anyone who sleeps as little as Donald Trump, which he recognizes is a problem for him, because he keeps calling him
Marco Rubio, Secretary of State, revealed that President Donald Trump usually calls him often in the early morning because he does not sleep and that allows him to work while others sleep.
Appearing before the House Foreign Affairs Committee, California Representative Ted Lieu questioned Marco Rubio if he had ever caught the nation's president falling asleep during cabinet meetings.
"That's false. I've never seen him fall asleep. On the contrary, the guy doesn't sleep, which is a big problem because he calls me at two in the morning," he revealed.
Next, the conservative with Cuban roots described what an average day is usually like under the orders of Donald Trump.
"He calls me at 5 in the morning. And, you know, I like to sleep a little, maybe not 12 hours, but at least six. So he works. The other day he was in the Oval Office at 12:30 in the morning; I don't know what you're talking about, at 12:30 in the morning?", he stressed.
Rubio admitted to being surprised by the amount of energy the New York tycoon has and how little he sleeps.
"He works exhausting days. I've traveled abroad with the president and he doesn't sleep for a second during the flight. And everyone else sleeps on the plane. You know, wandering the hallways looking for someone to wake up and talk to. So I don't know what you mean. But he has incredible energy," he said.
For all of the above, Marco Rubio ruled out any possibility that Trump has begun to be a victim of cognitive deterioration as some of his detractors have reported.
"I tell you that you may not like his policies. You may not like his decisions, but I assure you that this is not a president who sleeps or who has some type of cognitive impairment," he said.
Recently, Donald Trump underwent his routine biannual medical examination and minutes after leaving the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, he took to the Truth Social platform to share a message through which he highlighted feeling perfectly fine.
"I just finished my six-month physical at Walter Reed Military Medical Center. Everything went PERFECT. Thank you to the great doctors and staff!" he wrote.
