Hunter Biden, son of former President Joe Biden, claimed to have spent seven years away from drugs and reiterated that the cocaine discovered in the White House, in 2023, was not his property as it was handled at that time.

Through a video message shared on the X platform, formerly known as Twitter, the Washington lawyer expressed that he had left his addiction problems behind.

"Seven years clean and sober. I'm more proud of that than anything else I've done in my life," he said.

Given this accusation, a user tried to show him as the owner of a bag with cocaine inside discovered by Secret Service agents in the west wing of the White House complex, in July 2023. However, the son of the former president of the nation even made fun of it.

"Definitely not. I would never have forgotten my drugs," he said.

The point is that, despite the commotion caused by the Republicans to detect who owned that drug, the White House determined that there was no video recording pointing to the place where the controversial bag was discovered.

It should be noted that, with the aim of protecting his son from any investigation or conviction, before concluding his administration, Joe Biden granted him a pardon, which in addition to exonerating him from two federal cases against him, practically erased any others that could resurface from his past.

Automatically, Hunter was free of any accusation and far from the reach of Donald Trump, since there was the possibility that the New York magnate would resume his case at any time with the aim of putting him behind bars for a long time.

And Hunter Biden had already been found guilty in a federal case of three serious crimes related to the purchase and possession of a firearm in 2018.

At that time, he broke the law by hiding that he used drugs, a situation that legally prevented him from purchasing any type of weapon.

When several pieces of evidence were presented against him, lawyer Biden ended up pleading guilty to nine federal charges of tax evasion.
