Bengaluru Police has arrested a Pakistani girl for allegedly creating fake identity and staying in India illegally. According to the police, a 19-year-old girl named Iqra Jiwani had entered India through the Nepal border last year. She is married to Mulayam Singh Yadav, a 25-year-old security guard from Uttar Pradesh.

According to the police, the two met through a gaming app. Police sources said that the two befriended and fell in love through the app. Later both of them decided to get married. After this, the girl came to Nepal a few months ago, where both got married. After this the couple crossed the Indo-Nepal border and reached Bihar.

Iqra's name was changed to Rava Yadav, police sources said that after this Yadav and Iqra came to Bengaluru. Here both started living in a rented house in Junnasandra and Yadav was working as a security guard. Yadav changed Iqra Jiwani's name to Rawa Yadav and got her Aadhaar card made claiming her as his wife. Later he also applied for Indian passport.

The real identity of the girl was revealed when the Intelligence Bureau (IB) traced Iqra Jiwani as she was trying to contact her family members in Pakistan. After this the IB alerted the state intelligence agency. Based on the information, the Bangalore Police gathered information about the couple and raided their house. Police arrested both after questioning.

Iqra Jiwani was later handed over to FRRO (Foreigners Regional Registration Office) officials, later sent to jail and further investigation is on, sources said. He said that Yadav has also been arrested. An FIR has been registered against the two under various sections of the Foreigners Act and the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Police said the owner of the house, Govinda Reddy, has also been booked under relevant sections of the Foreigners Act, as he did not inform the police about the foreigner living illegally in his house.
