India and China used to walk together till 1980
Referring to the Indo-China economy, Rajnath Singh said that in 1949, when there was a movement in China, their GDP was less than that of India. He said that till 1980, India and China were walking together. After the 80s, China made many economic reforms to improve the economy and took a long leap. Targeting Rahul Gandhi on the issue of China
In his address to the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), Rajnath Singh indirectly targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for doubting the government's strategy to deal with the border dispute with China.
