UP: Stray dogs wreak havoc in Ghaziabad, attacked 156 people including 85 children in 24 hours

In 24 hours between Monday and Tuesday, 156 people including 85 children were attacked by stray dogs in the district. All these people reached MMG, Joint and four community health centers on Tuesday to get the first dose of anti-rabies vaccine. 354 people got the second and third dose.
Dr. Manoj Kumar Chaturvedi, CMS of MMG Hospital, said that most of the people coming to the hospital with dog bite injuries are from Vijay Nagar, Arthala and Nandgram areas. Two-thirds of these numbers are children. Nodal officer Dr. GP Mathuria said that in rural areas, dogs are attacking people the most in Modinagar. The first dose was administered to 27 people in Modinagar on Tuesday.
Patrolling has been started in Mahagunapuram Society to protect against dog attacks. Society President Yashpal Yadav said that patrolling is being done with the help of Garda in the morning while children are going to school and coming back. Yashpal also appealed to other societies to start patrolling to save people from dogs.
