Trump said Minnesota governor will likely leave office before his term ends
“The corrupt governor of Minnesota will likely leave office before his term ends, but, in any case, he will not run again because he was caught, IN “FRAUD, along with Ilhan Omar and other Somali friends, stealing tens of billions of taxpayer dollars,” Trump wrote on TRUTH Social.
Walz announced Monday that he will not run for a third term as governor of Minnesota, amid reports of alleged daycare fraud in the state.
The Democrat held a press conference in which he did not take questions and simply stated that he cannot currently “give it his all on a political campaign” due to the increased attention on the embezzlement cases, many centered on daycare centers owned by members of Minnesota’s Somali community.
Childcare fraud in Minnesota has been reported since 2014, having Cases involving the embezzlement of hundreds of millions of dollars have been uncovered, and Walz's administration maintains that the state has been combating and investigating these cases for some time. In this context, Walz stated, “Every minute I spend defending my own political interests is a minute I could not spend defending the people of Minnesota from the criminals who take advantage of our generosity and the cynics who exploit our differences.” Meanwhile, Trump took the opportunity to criticize Congresswoman Ilhan Omar again in his message.who represents Minnesota's 5th district and has long been the target of the most furious attacks by the US president, who has called Somali immigrants "trash."
CNN reported that the Trump Administration is planning to send some 2,000 federal agents to Minneapolis to spearhead a campaign of arrests of Somali immigrants who are in the US illegally.
