The company describes this renewal as a natural step towards a more expressive and sophisticated identity. Josh Hermes, Vice President of Polaris Slingshot, explains this, reaffirming the brand's vision by stating: “From the first glance to every mile behind the wheel, the Slingshot is designed to make the most of every moment, delivering an unparalleled driving experience.” Hermes also anticipates that the new finishes and the return of the Grand Touring mark a significant leap for the 2026 lineup: “With new colors, premium finishes, and the return of our exclusive Grand Touring model, the 2026 lineup elevates that unique experience to new heights.”
2026 Grand Touring: Limited Edition with Superior Style and Comfort
The 2026 Slingshot Grand Touring returns with a more distinctive visual identity. Its two-tone Viper Black and Venom Green color scheme, both with an iridescent finish, creates a dynamic effect that changes depending on the light and viewing angle. This ever-changing appearance is complemented by the exclusive Grand Touring emblem, reinforcing its limited-edition status.
Beyond the exterior, Polaris equips this model with accessories designed for those who enjoy extended journeys. The Slingshade, along with the matching rear fender, is fully integrated into the design and offers protection without compromising aesthetics.
The vertically opening T-Top panels, equipped with friction hinges and tinted windows,They facilitate entry and exit without losing visibility or light.
In the cabin, passengers find heated and cooled seats, adjustable via integrated buttons and enhanced with custom stitching. This focus on comfort makes the Grand Touring one of the most comfortable models in Slingshot history.
Performance and Customizable Driving
Just like the R version, the Grand Touring uses the ProStar 2.0L four-cylinder engine, capable of generating 204 horsepower. The driver can choose between manual or AutoDrive transmission, and two driving modes: Comfort, designed for smooth driving, and Slingshot, which offers faster shifts and a sportier response. Brembo® brakes, along with the vented sport hood, provide more precise performance, improved aerodynamics, and enhanced airflow in the cabin. Integrated Technology and Entertainment: The experience inside the Grand Touring is complemented by a superior level of technology. Its Rockford Fosgate® Stage 3 Max+ sound system delivers 700 watts of immersive audio, thanks to two 8-inch side speakers and two speakers integrated into the headrests. This is further enhanced by the XKGlow® lighting kit, which can be synchronized with the music via the Slingshot LED mobile app, creating a visual spectacle inside the cabin. The model is also compatible with the RIDE COMMAND+ system, which adds features such as real-time weather, traffic, and vehicle locator. The first year is included at no cost; thereafter, an annual fee applies.
A vibrant color palette and premium finishes
The 2026 Slingshot lineup reinforces its visual presence with new premium paints on the SL, SLR, and R models. Polaris is reintroducing the iridescent finish in five colors across three models, as Hermes explains: “Due to popular demand, we’ve incorporated our iridescent finish on three models and in five colors for 2026, including the new Grand Touring.”
The top-of-the-line Slingshot R adds premium combinations such as Radiant Gray with Pearl Indy Red and Crystal White with Mint Fade, both with an iridescent finish. The Midnight Smoke color also continues, now with an elegant metallic matte finish.
New five-spoke honeycomb wheels
The SLR and R models debut five-spoke honeycomb wheels, designed not only to improve aesthetics but also airflow to the brakes. On the SLR, they feature a machined finish, while on the R, they return with a gloss black finish.
