Dodgers add worst streak of defeats in 6 years after sweep in Milwaukee
The Dodgers scored just four runs in their last three games at Milwaukee
The Los Angeles Dodgers fell defeated 3-2 by the Milwaukee Brewers and suffered their second consecutive sweep and six losses in a row, the worst streak since the 2019 season.
The Los Angeles team had not lost six games in a row for six years when they fell two consecutive with Milwaukee and then swept in four games by the Cardinals of St. Louis.
The offense has been missing in the last six games with just 10 runs scored and an average below .200.
On the other hand, the pitching has not shown its best face. The team has allowed 44 runs in 52 innings and 12 home runs.
The team will rest Thursday and travel to San Francisco for three straight games in the Bay Area before the All-Star break.
Milwaukee sweeps Dodgers for first time
Jackson Chourio hit a go-ahead single in the 10th inning and the Milwaukee Brewers rallied to beat Los Angeles 3-2 on Wednesday, completing their first home sweep of the Dodgers in franchise history.
The Brewers' only two previous sweeps of the Dodgers came in Los Angeles, in May 2012 and August 2017. The NL West-leading Dodgers have lost six straight.
Trevor Megill (2-2) Milwaukee struck out Freddie Freeman, Andy Pages and Tommy Edman in order in the top of the tenth. William Contreras led off the bottom of the 10th with a deep flyout to center field off Kirby Yates (4-3) that advanced automatic runner Sal Frelick to third. Chourio then lined a single through the left side of an advanced infield for his first career walk-off hit. The Brewers tied the game in the ninth when pinch-hitter Andrew Vaughn singled one out off Tanner Scott that brought in Isaac Collins to tie the score.
