Xander Zayas became the World Boxing Organization (WBO) super welterweight champion by defeating Jorge García and mentioned two Ideal opponents to defend his title for the first time: Sebastian Fundora and Bakhram Murtazaliev.

Speaking to FightHub TV, Zayas commented that he is willing to face anyone in the division, but his main targets are Fundora and Murtazaliev.

He (Fundora) shouldn't have lost his title in the first place, he shouldn't have left the title vacant, that's all I have to say, he knows how to contact us. I heard that Bakhram Murtazaliev is looking for an opponent, that Sebastian Fundora wants his belt back, so anyone in the division can come for him now, like I said, there's no escaping it, I'm a world champion and I have what they want, he said.

Let's remember that Sebastian Fundora vacated the WBO title to avoid facing the Puerto Rican and thus be able to have his rematch with Tim Tzyu. The Mexican-American holds the World Boxing Council (WBC) belt, while Bakhram Murtazaliev is the International Boxing Federation (IBF) champion.

The fight that crowned Xander Zayas was intense and competitive from the first rounds. Both fighters showed aggression, with combinations and powerful punches. Jorge García, despite being the "underdog", came out with determination and connected with good blows, especially in the first rounds.

However, as the fight progressed, Zayas' technique and counterpunching began to make the difference. The Puerto Rican demonstrated maturity and intelligent boxing, wearing down Garcia and beating him by unanimous decision on the judges' scorecards 116-112, 118-110 and 119-109.

With this victory, the Puerto Rican became the youngest boxing champion today at 22 years old and consolidated himself as one of the brightest prospects in the sport.

Xander Zayas, 22 years old, was crowned for the first time as the WBO super welterweight world champion, title that Sebastián Fundora vacated. The Puerto Rican has a record of 22 wins (13 by knockouts) and zero losses as a professional.
