Cristiano Ronaldo wreaks havoc with Raúl Jiménez in the new Nike commercial
Jiménez, CR7, Vinícius Jr, Kylian Mbappé, LeBron James and even Kim Kardashian star in the new Nike commercial "Rip The Script" for the 2026 World Cup
A few days before the World Cup begins in Mexico, the United States and Canada, Nike shares its “Rip The Script” commercial. The renowned brand managed to bring together big stars such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappé, Raul Jimenez and even Kim Kardashian.
This new advertising installment is a kind of “parody” of the usual soccer commercials before the World Cup. Big brands get consumers used to delivering epic images and plans. But this time, the players improvised on the “Rip The Script” story.
The commercial features football stars such as Raúl Jiménez, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappé, Vinícius Jr, Erling Haaland, Virgil van Dijk, Ronaldinho Gaúcho, Zlatan Ibrahimović, Wayne Rooney, Federico Valverde, Jill Scott, Cole Palmer and Estêvão Willian (these last two will not be at the World Cup).
Other great figures who are not linked to the world of football also participated. Among them, LeBron James, player of the Los Angeles Lakers, stood out; Kim Kardashian, model and businesswoman; Travis Scott, American rapper; Young Miko, Puerto Rican singer, among other artists and athletes.
Messi's absence
Lionel Messi did not appear in this audiovisual product for one main reason: Messi and the Argentina team are dressed by the Adidas brand. This is the main factor why there are no Albiceleste representatives in the commercial.
This brand duel was evidenced in the same commercial. Several players had to appear in generic clothing to be able to appear in the audiovisual product. Among them, Erling Haaland, Raúl Jiménez, Nico Williams, Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes stand out.
When the 2026 World Cup starts
The 2026 World Cup will officially begin on Thursday, June 11 at the legendary Azteca Stadium in Mexico. The opening duel will be between the Mexican team and South Africa.
