Enner Valencia, the Ecuadorian forward who scored the goal with which his national team defeated Argentina last Tuesday in the last day of the South American qualifiers, could return to the Liga MX roster.

According to a report from ESPN, the player is very close to leaving Inter de Porto Alegre, the Brazilian club he currently belongs to, and would have advanced negotiations with the Tuzos de Pachuca, the club that first brought him to Liga MX in 2013.

According to the sports network, on Tuesday the player would have signed a pre-registration of the termination of his current contract to return to the Mexican fields.

It is expected that in the next few days the player will be presented as the new reinforcement of the Hidalgo team.

Valencia would be leaving Inter after 2 years of stay, in which he played 100 games, scored 31 goals and sent 6 assists.

During his time in Mexican soccer, the Ecuadorian striker had a great season with the Tuzos, in which he played 25 games, scored 18 goals and sent 7 assists. This strong performance led him to move to the Premier League, where he spent four years before returning to Mexico to play three seasons and 116 matches with Tigres, in which he scored 34 goals and provided 10 assists.
