Liga MX is better than Argentine soccer, according to Bruno Marioni
The former Pumas UNAM player acknowledged that Mexican soccer has many characteristics that surpass Argentine soccer
Mexican and Argentine soccer have their own personal duel in every match between them. There is a great rivalry between the two nations. This is also reflected in the comparisons. Bruno Marioni, former Pumas player, believes that Liga MX is superior to the soccer of his country.
Bruno Marioni is a qualified voice to speak about it. The former striker played for Pumas UNAM and Toluca. Marioni also played for Boca Juniors, where he won the Copa Libertadores (2007). In his analysis of both tournaments, Bruno Marioni believes that Argentine football is only superior in terms of the tournament's competitiveness. The former South American footballer considers there to be greater competition in Argentine football. However, in many other aspects of the game, including the preparation of referees, Bruno Marioni acknowledged that Liga MX is superior. The former Toluca player agrees with Mexican soccer.
“In refereeing, the Argentine First Division isn't better, in quality of play, or in the level of players. Yes, it's much more competitive, but it's 4 to 1 in comparison (with the Mexican league),” Bruno Marioni explained in an interview for Vamos Show.
The former South American striker admitted that it's not easy for him to acknowledge the superiority of Mexican soccer. Marioni has a particular appreciation for the Argentine product, but in this analysis, he considers Liga MX to be the rightful winner.
“With a heavy heart, because I'm extremely Argentine and I strongly defend my country, but I've always prided myself on being fair in my opinions, and I do believe that the Mexican League is superior to the Argentine league,” he concluded.
