Netflix and FIFA join forces to launch a video game ahead of the 2026 World Cup
The FIFA game will be released on Netflix ahead of the 2026 World Cup and will be available for mobile versions
Netflix and FIFA announced a historic partnership for the launch of a football video game inspired by the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be available exclusively through Netflix Games. The title will be playable starting next year, coinciding with the biggest sporting event on the planet, and will mark a turning point in how fans experience digital football. The video game will be an accessible, social, and cross-platform simulator, designed so that any user can play easily, yet with enough depth for the most competitive players to master it.
It will be available at no additional cost to all Netflix subscribers, with just an active account and a mobile device.

The game will be developed and published by Delphi Interactive, with the goal of returning to the basics of digital football: instant fun, intuitive controls, and matches to play solo or with friends.
“We want to return to the origins of football by offering a game that everyone can enjoy with just the touch of a button,” explained Alain Tascan, president of Netflix Games, highlighting that the 2026 World Cup will be one of the most important cultural events of the year.
For his part, FIFA President Gianni Infantino described the collaboration as a historic step for the organization:
“This partnership represents the beginning of a new era for football video games. We want to reach millions of fans of all ages and in every corner of the world.”
Casper Daugaard, CEO of Delphi Interactive, stated that the goal is clear: “To create the most fun, accessible, and international football video game in history, designed for a new generation of fans.” The 2026 FIFA World Cup, to be held in North America, will serve as the grand showcase for this project, which seeks to reinvent the football simulator and broaden the reach of the world's most popular sport.
