After Mexican Hirving "Chucky" Lozano publicly apologized for his indiscipline at halftime of the game against Houston Dynamo and coach Mickey Varas assured him that they support him 100 percent, Panamanian Anibal Godoy highlighted his teammate's professionalism.

Godoy, interviewed at the end of San Diego FC's training session this Friday, touched on the subject of the Mexican national team forward and stated that: "He is training well, the guy is a professional who always works for the group, but I am not the one to say if he is going to play or not. Those things are up to the staff, I am not the coach, but he has been training very well and facing the game like all of us."

The Central American player's statement comes at the time that "Chucky" Lozano apologized to his teammates at San Diego FC after the clash words he had with a teammate mid-match and where he accepted that he made a mistake and is ready to turn the page.

In his statement on his official Instagram account, Lozano said: “I am a passionate and competitive person who always wants to give everything for the team. Sometimes, that same intensity can lead to reactions that do not reflect who I am or the respect I have for everyone around me.”

He also noted that: "I did not react in the right way, and I have already taken responsibility, addressed it, and moved forward. What matters most to me is continuing to grow, as a player, as a teammate, and as a person. Every day I am learning, improving, and doing my best to contribute positively to the team," he specified.

Chucky went further in his apology: "I am fully focused on what lies ahead, on the goals we share, and on helping San Diego achieve everything we have been working for. We have built something special together, and I am proud to be part of the club's journey for many years to come.
