What “invisible mode” does in WhatsApp
To enjoy this mode you must adjust different privacy options so that other people can't see when someone is online, when was their last connection or if they read a message.
Additionally, it allows you to limit who can see your profile photo, personal information, and statuses posted within the app.
However, this mode does not completely make the user invisible. If you reply to messages, write to groups, or post content, the activity will still be obvious to other participants.
Even so, it is a useful alternative for those who wish to use WhatsApp with greater discretion and avoid the pressure to respond immediately.
The functions that hides and how to activate it
By correctly activating this setting, several important elements can be hidden:

How to activate it on Android phones
First, you have to open the application and touch the three vertical dots located in the upper-right corner of the screen. Then you must enter “Settings” and select the “Privacy” option.
Once in, you have to enter “Last time and online”. There you can choose “Nobody” to hide the last connection.
Then, in the “Who can see when I'm online” section, it is recommended to select “Same as the last time.” This way, nobody will know when the user is connected.
And on iPhone
On iPhone devices the procedure is similar, although the location of the menus changes slightly.
The user must open WhatsApp and touch the “Settings” button, located at the bottom right of the screen. Then must enter “Privacy” and make the same settings related to connection, reading, and profile visibility.
