Donald Trump plans to organize a Mixed Martial Arts fight at the White House
Trump pledges to organize a UFC fight at the White House to commemorate the nation’s 250th anniversary
The declaration that formally separated from the British Empire and thus achieved American independence was signed on July 4, 1776, so for next year—when two and a half centuries of the historic event will be celebrated—the current head of the nation plans a long agenda of celebrations.
As a passionate fan of the fights organized by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), one of the New York magnate's plans is to carry out what he calls the "Patriot Games."
During a meeting with citizens of Iowa, Trump revealed that, being a fan of mixed martial arts fights and a personal friend of businessman Dana White, president of the UFC, he will entrust him with the mission of organizing a function for more than 20,000 guests, whose stage will be set up on the grounds adjacent to the White House.
"We're going to have incredible events, some professional, some amateur. We're going to have a UFC fight, imagine that, on the White House grounds. We have a lot of land there. We're going to build a little bit; Dana will do it. Dana is great. One of a kind," he expressed.
Trump's first public appearance alongside White was during a UFC event held at the Trump Taj Mahal casino in Atlantic City in 2001.
Since then, the 79-year-old Republican has regularly attended other fights, even at one point accompanied by South African Elon Musk.
“I will never do this again. I don't want to know any of this bullshit. It's disgusting. It's repugnant. I don't want to have anything to do with politics,”he emphasized.
