Southern California Edison (SCE) announced this Wednesday the launch of a compensation program for victims of the Eaton Fire, which devastated the town of Altadena in January.
The electric utility said the Wildfire Recovery Compensation Program, which is set to begin this fall, will provide direct payments and expedited settlements to eligible individuals and businesses.
In a press release, Edison International, SCE's parent company, said claims will cover total and partial loss of structures, loss of commercial property, business interruption, smoke and ash, and physical injuries and deaths.
