A week after immigrant groups filed a lawsuit, California announced Tuesday that it would postpone the revocation of 17,000 commercial driver's licenses until March.
The decision to State officials are considering allowing more time for truckers and bus drivers, who are legally eligible for licenses, to retain them. However, U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy warned that California could lose $160 million if it does not meet the deadline to revoke the licenses, set for January 5, 2026.
