A Powerball lottery contestant came very close to winning the jackpot in the Christmas Eve drawing, but did receive a $2.8 million prize.
The California Lottery reported that a ticket that was The ticket, purchased in Chino Hills, San Bernardino County, matched five of the six numbers, winning a prize of $2,811,275. The winning numbers were 4, 25, 31, 52, and 59, plus 19 as the Power number.
