Iran's Defense Minister, Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh, warned that his country will attack US bases in the region if the United States launches an offensive against it: "Iran will attack US bases if it is attacked," the Defense Minister said, according to the Local Mehr news agency.
The military official asserted that “all US bases and military bases of other countries in the region that assist the US in attacks against Iranian soil will be considered legitimate targets.
Last June, Trump attacked nuclear facilities in Iran in an offensive that, according to the Iranians, killed more than a thousand people, most of them civilians, an action that Tehran responded to with an attack on a US base in neighboring Qatar, without significant consequences.
Iran's Warning
Iran's missile arsenal has grown since the 12-day war with Israel last year, the Revolutionary Guard's aerospace commander Majid Mousavi said Wednesday, according to state media, following threats of intervention by Trump amid anti-government protests in Iran.
“We are at the peak of our readiness,” Mousavi said, according to state media, adding that the damage caused by the war had been repaired and that the Revolutionary Guard's aerospace forces' capabilities in various areas were greater than before June 2025.
