Metro Los Angeles approves San Fernando Valley to Westside train project
The route will connect Van Nuys with Sherman Oaks, at an approximate cost of $9.5 billion; the trip is estimated to take 20 minutes

The Metro Los Angeles board of directors approved the Sepulveda Transit Corridor project this Thursday to build an underground train from the San Fernando Valley to the Westside.
The directors selected a route to to connect the Van Nuys area with Sherman Oaks, passing through Bel-Air, Beverly Crest, UCLA, and ending at the Expo Sepulveda station on the Metro E Line.
According to the project, a trip on the proposed route is expected to take approximately 20 minutes from end to end.
