A ship with humanitarian aid will depart tomorrow, Thursday, from the port of Progreso, in the Mexican state of Yucatan, for Cuba, as part of the international mission 'Convoy Our America', in support of the island.
The vessel is supported by the Global Sumud Flotilla, which in 2025 went to the Gaza Strip to deliver humanitarian aid, and in which Swedish activist Greta Thunberg, who supports this mission, participated.
In addition, three more vessels will depart from Isla Mujeres, Quintana Roo, Mexico, on March 20 to support the convoy that plans to arrive in Cuba on March 21.
In a statement on its website, the mission notes that it is “an unprecedented effort of international solidarity” and that it seeks to deliver “vital supplies” so that the Cuban people can “cope with the inhumane economic and energy blockade against the island.
