Star on the Walk of Fame for LAFD heroes
Los Angeles firefighters were recognized Friday with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame following a proposal by a Connecticut student
In recognition of their bravery and public service in fighting the January wildfires, the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) was honored Friday with an Excellence Award star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The distinction arose from It all started with a proposal from an eighth-grade student from Connecticut who, as part of a school assignment, wrote a letter to the president of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. Eniola Taiwo, the student from Connecticut, was present at the unveiling ceremony of the star, which is located outside the Ovation Entertainment Complex on Hollywood Boulevard.
