Travelers saturate Los Angeles International Airport
More than 230,000 passengers use Los Angeles International Airport this Sunday during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend
Amid delayed and canceled flights due to an intense winter storm in the Midwest, Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) faces its busiest travel day of the Thanksgiving holiday weekend this Sunday, with more than 230,000 passengers.
Since the morning, the airport has recorded more than 80 delayed flights and at least 17 canceled. Most of the affected operations were related to the snowstorm that hit the Chicago area, where flights to this destination suffered delays of up to five hours. The disruption at Chicago's O'Hare Airport caused the majority of the air travel disruptions, resulting in operational problems across virtually the entire country.
