The exhibition brings together historical documents that marked the birth and evolution of the country
The Library of Congress will open to the public a new exhibition that seeks to connect visitors with the founding principles of the American nation within the framework of the 250th anniversary of the United States. Under the title 'The promise of the Declaration: a revolutionary idea', the exhibition will bring together some of the most important documents and objects in the country's history.
The exhibition will officially open on July 3 in the Treasure Gallery of the Library of Congress, where it will remain on view until July 2027.
With more than a hundred historical pieces, the exhibition explores how the ideas embodied in the Declaration of Independence have influenced the political, social and cultural life of the country over the last 250 years.
