Starting July 1, California implements new laws that impact different sectors, ranging from increases in the minimum wage in certain cities to standardized labeling of expiration dates to avoid food waste.
It also regulates the mandatory disclosure of allergens on menus, volume limits for streaming advertisements and the prohibition of certain automatic pistols.
It is allowed to fine self-driving vehicles, require schools to restrict smartphone use, and include information about LGBTQ helplines on student IDs.
