The first meeting of the youth wing of the G20, a group of 20 major countries of the world, began in Assam's Guwahati on Monday, with the aim of a draft 'White Paper' on five important topics such as war and peace, climate change and job creation. to prepare.

Addressing a press conference in Guwahati, Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports Secretary Mita Rajeev Lochan said that a total of 300 delegates from member countries including 20 foreign nationals will participate in the three-day summit. He said that during the summit the delegates would share their views on five themes. This year there will be 17 such meetings across the country, this being the first meeting in Guwahati.

Meeta also said that on the last day of the summit, a draft 'white paper' on five themes would be released in the presence of Union Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Anurag Singh Thakur and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. He further said that this draft paper will be debated by both domestic and foreign delegates in further summits and a final document will be prepared in the last meeting to be held in Varanasi in August this year.  

On the other hand, Assam Skill Development Principal Secretary Kalyan Chakraborty said that five research papers on these five topics will also be presented on the last day of the conference. He said that for this event, we organized various discussions, debates, quiz competitions and workshops in colleges and universities across the state, in which more than 10,000 students participated. These research papers have also been prepared during this period.
