SpaceX Starship: SpaceX's Starship rocket explodes after launching; Shattered in minutes
The Starship rocket of the world's leading space exploration company SpaceX made its first test flight on Thursday.
The Starship rocket of the world's leading space exploration company SpaceX made its first test flight on Thursday. However, it exploded soon after launch. The world's most powerful rocket took off from Boca Chica, Texas at around 7 pm. This was the first orbital test of Starship. Earlier, an attempt was made to launch it on 17 April as well. After this it had to be stopped due to freeze of the pressure valve. In the matter, SpaceX said that today we have learned a lot. This will give us further success. Today's test will help us improve the reliability of Starship. Company owner Elon Musk congratulated the team. He said a lot was learned for the next test launch in a few months.
What is a Starship rocket?
collectively named Starship. Starship is a reusable spacecraft designed to carry both crew and cargo to Earth orbit, the Moon, Mars, and beyond. It will be the most powerful launch vehicle the world has ever built. The rocket has a height of 120 meters and a diameter of 9 metres, while its payload capacity is 100 to 150 tonnes.
How many stages does it have?
Super Heavy:The Super Heavy is the first stage, or booster, of the Starship launch system. Powered by 33 Raptor engines using sub-cooled liquid methane (CH4) and liquid oxygen (LOX), the Super Heavy is a fully reusable rocket. It will be able to re-enter the Earth's atmosphere and land back at the launch site. It has a height of 69 m, a diameter of 9 m and a thrust capacity of 3,400 tonnes per 7.5 mlb.
Starship:Starship is the spacecraft and second stage of the Starship system. The vehicle has an integrated payload section and is capable of carrying crew and cargo to Earth orbit, the Moon, Mars and beyond. Starship is also capable of moving from one place to another on Earth. It can travel anywhere in the world in an hour or less.
Starship vehicle height 50 meters,The diameter is 9 m and the propellant capacity is 1,200 tonnes per 2.6 mlb and the payload capacity is 100 to 150 tonnes.
Raptor Engine: The Raptor engine is also a reusable methane-oxygen staged-combustion engine. It powers the Starship systems and has twice the thrust capacity of the Falcon 9 Merlin engines. Starship will be powered by six engines, three Raptor engines and three Raptor Vacuum (RVac) engines, which are designed for use in the vacuum of space. The Super Heavy will be powered by 33 Raptor engines, with 13 in the center and the remaining 20 around the perimeter of the rear end of the booster. Its diameter is 1.3 m while the height is 3.1 m.
When was the first launch of the Starship system to happen?
The launch was scheduled for 17 April at 8:00 am Central Time (1300 GMT) from the SpaceX spaceport. When it was postponed at the last moment, its launch was fixed at the reserve time at the end of the week. Under this, it was launched on Thursday evening. SpaceX founder Elon Musk had said that this is a distinct possibility.
