Costco recalls a huge number of bottles of prosecco
The retail chain detailed that the recalled bottles are Prosecco Valdobbiadene from its Kirkland Signature brand
According to the retailer, so far about 10 incidents involving the bottles caused injuries and lacerations to consumers when they tried to open them. The Consumer Product Safety Commission advised consumers in a press release that they should not attempt to open the bottles and, instead, before disposing of them, should place them in paper towels or a plastic bag to prevent accidents. Costco specified that the recalled bottles are those with the purple label bearing the name “Kirkland Signature Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG,” which were sold in several states with the product code: 196633883742 and the item number: 1879870 for a price of $8.
