Fast food chain will offer its famous fried apple pie again to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the US.
The delicious dessert that came from a family recipe will be available at McDonald's for a limited time
With the purpose of celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States, this Tuesday the fast food chain McDonald's announced that it will once again offer its famous fried apple pie, which will be available for a limited time starting next June 23.
The charming dessert that emerged from a family recipe in 1960 and became a local favorite in Tennessee and then spread throughout the country, returns years later to delight loyal McDonald's consumers.
In a statement, the chain indicated that "this dish, available on our menu all day, features our signature filling made with 100% American-grown apples, wrapped in the same golden, crispy, flaky crust that fans remember, or won't soon forget," he highlighted.
For his part, Eric Cochran, owner and operator of McDonald's, said that regarding the return of this dessert, "there are certain things that take you back in time, and fried apple pie is one of them. It's something that people love and remember from their childhood," he declared.
McDonald's notes in its statement: "Summer tends to move fast, but the moments worth remembering don't, and with America's 250th birthday right around the corner, we're bringing back an authentic national treasure and fan favorite made for slowing down and savoring the season: the Fried Apple Pie," it said.
But the fast food chain specializing in hamburgers is not the only one that has made new launches for this summer. Burger King has also brought back its famous crown-shaped chicken nuggets, and Dairy Queen, for its part, will offer drinks starting at 50 cents to its members.
