State Monitoring Team Conducts Surprise Inspections in Government Schools Across Districts
State monitoring teams conduct surprise inspections in government schools across districts to assess implementation of educational projects. Negligent schools, teachers, and headmasters face departmental action.
In an effort to assess the on-ground implementation of the Prayas cum Project Impact (NEP), the state-level monitoring team, under the directive of State Education Project Director Aditya Ranjan, has initiated surprise inspections in government schools across various districts. A 3-member team, led by 24 officials, has been deployed to conduct these inspections, recommending departmental action against negligent schools, teachers, and headmasters.
On Monday, the monitoring team conducted surprise inspections in numerous government schools across the state, evaluating the educational environment, teacher and student attendance, school infrastructure, laboratories, and overall compliance with directives issued by the State Education Project Council. Several instances of negligence and non-compliance were observed among teachers and principals during the inspections.

Show cause notices have been issued to 23 teachers in Gumla for failing to register regular biometric attendance in the e-VidyaVahini portal. These teachers have been given a deadline of 3 days to respond, with departmental action recommended in case of unsatisfactory replies.
Notable among the teachers issued notices are Shashi Tirkey, Kiran Prasad, Pintu Bara, and others, all residents of Gumla.
The salaries of teachers and headmasters of one school each in Gumla and Palamu have been recommended to be stopped due to infractions related to non-functional laboratories and low attendance.
The monitoring team has expressed dissatisfaction over the attendance of children at RK Plus Two High School in Garhwa, with a report sent to the State Education Project Director seeking clarification from the school.
